News on Projects underway

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the Colour Way project to improve the Park View Underpass.

Since community engagement on our plans in late 2021, we have been undertaking further investigations and refining our plans to ensure they address all the issues identified through the engagement.

A number of technical surveys have been carried out to understand how best to tackle the flooding and water leakage issues that affect the Underpass. Collapsed drains within the Underpass, as well as water leaking through the structure have been found. The design proposals have now been refined to address these issues.

Network Rail and Transport for London need to give their consent for the planned interior works as they are the owners of the structure. We have started the consents process, and anticipate that the physical improvement works will commence in late summer 2023.

The final designs for the mural artwork have also been completed. The artwork installation will take place after the physical improvement works have been completed. This will ensure that the artwork is not damaged by construction works.
